The Old School Bike/Ski Hostel is located in the former elementary school, built in 1925. Baker City is on the Trans American Cycling route in beautiful eastern Oregon. The cost is $35 per night per bed, for people traveling by bicycle and skiers. (Discounts for additional guests available for groups)
The hostel operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Baker Loves Bikes, a 501c3 non-profit, with the mission "To educate and support greater access and safe opportunities for all cyclists in Baker County, OR."
The space is a dormitory setting with 4 bunk beds & comfortable memory foam mattresses, crisp, clean white sheets and privacy curtains for each guest.

Phillips Reservoir A beginner friendly area just 15 miles from the hostel with beautiful views of the lake and Elkhorn mountains.
Anthony Lakes Mountain Biking A great mix of trails for all abilities from beginners to advanced riders. 35 miles from Baker City with most trails starting from the ALMR lodge parking area.
The Elkhorn Crest Trail This is a true high alpine crest trail and suited for advanced riders. One area is in wilderness so you'll have to carry your bike, but it's worth it.
